The problem is rarely forgetting a deadline. It is not noticing that three of them collide in the same week and the big one needed starting a fortnight ago. Put them all in and the tool works backwards to the day each one has to begin.

How to use it
- Add each assignment with its due date, roughly how many hours it needs, and what it is worth.
- Set how many hours a day you can realistically give it. Be honest here or the whole thing lies to you.
- Read the start dates. Anything already past its start date is flagged, and so is any week carrying more work than there are days.
- Export the .ics and the deadlines land in your normal calendar with a reminder on the start date.
Questions
How is the start date worked out?
Hours needed divided by the hours a day you said you have, rounded up to whole days, counted back from the due date. It is deliberately simple arithmetic you could do yourself, which is the point: the value is seeing all of them at once, not the formula.
What does the collision warning mean?
That two assignments' working windows overlap, so the days between their start dates and their due dates share the same hours you already promised to something else. It is the thing that actually goes wrong in a term.
What is an .ics file?
The standard calendar format. Download it and open it, and Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook will offer to add the events. Each assignment comes across as an all day event on the due date plus a reminder on the day it has to start.
Where is my list kept?
In this browser on this device, in local storage. No account and no sync, so it will not appear on your phone. Export the .ics if you want it somewhere that follows you around.
